Hearing aids have been traditionally associated and targeted to older users, which is why most of the apps are simple and functional but not visually appealing. As a new and young user, I remember that the first time I used the Widex Moment App I thought that this wasn’t definitely the best part of the experience. So I asked to myself:

Furthermore, the redesign aimed to introduce features that align to the lifestyle and preferences of younger users, making the app an essential part of their daily lives.
In order to accomplish this, it was crucial for the design to exude vibrancy, modernity, and excellence, aiming to evoke emotions like relief, comfort, self-confidence, and a sense of connection to life. So, the next steps taken after conducting research was to create a moodboard to draw inspiration, followed by the design system and components.

Vibrant Color Palette: A vibrant color palette inspired by current design trends was implemented, replacing muted tones with energetic hues to create a visually appealing, youthful, and engaging interface.
Iconography and Imagery: Icons and imagery were reimagined to resonate with a younger audience, incorporating modern and relatable visuals that aligned with the lifestyles of the target users.
Typography: Lastly, a contemporary and easily readable font (San Francisco) was selected to enhance the overall readability and appeal of the app, ensuring a seamless reading experience for users of all ages.
